R42 c herringbone
R42c herrinbone
There is so much to say about this guitar. The torrified top with a lot of silk grain sets the sound of this guitar. It is well balanced with a lot of overnotes, but also have a lot of power. The edges have a full herrinbone purfling, a beautiful tobacoo sunburst and to finish it all of I have put on some super flamed maple binding.
The back and sides are made of a highly figured set of sapele mahogany.
The neck has a smooth satin finish and the head veneer and fretboard are solid ebony.
This is just a one of a king guitar with its Florentine cutaway. I have only made this, as I can recall, just once before ( I probably will not do it again)
If you are looking for something special, this sloped shoulder R42 is the one to get. Comes with a Sanden hardshell case.
