The best material is needed to build an instrument that is pleasing to the ear, the eyes and the heart.
Slow growing wood that has been cut and dried properly is a basic requirement. Therefore, we personally choose and purchase the material each year from Germany, the United States, England and India.
Michael has learned this from the two masters he studied with, Bozo Padunavac in San Diego in 1982, where he learned to build steel-string guitars and mandolins, and then with Georg Bolin between 1984-1986, where he learned to build classical guitars.
In 1986 Michael received his Journeyman’s Certificate as a qualified builder and in 1996 he got his Master’s Certificate in guitar craftsmanship. Sanden Guitars has been a member of the "Guild of American Luthiers" since 1983 and has participated in several conventions over the years.
Olle has just entered as co owner at Sanden Guitars. He has a long experience as a company leader. His long love for guitars and playing makes him just right for Sanden Guitars. He has also has good knowledge in woodworking and will be more and more involved in the regular work in the shop.
